Current Status of the Laptop Scheme
At the moment, the total estimated cost of the CM Laptop Scheme is about Rs27 billion.
For the first phase, the Punjab government had allocated Rs15 billion.
So far, more than 35,000 students have already received laptops under this initiative.

The scheme has received a strong response from students across Punjab.
Officials say more than 143,000 students have already submitted applications. Because of this large number of applications, the government is now considering expanding the program so more students can benefit.
