Residents of Punjab can now secure their preferred fancy vehicle numbers without visiting any office. The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has officially started online registration for the auction of fancy vehicle numbers through a digital e-auction system.
This new system allows citizens to participate in the bidding process from the comfort of their homes using a mobile application or web portal.
Online Registration Open Until March 2
The registration process for the e-auction is currently open and will continue until March 2. Interested individuals must complete their online registration before the deadline to take part in the auction and bid for their desired vehicle number.
The initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), which developed the e-auction mobile application and web portal.

According to PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, the introduction of the digital e-auction system has transformed the traditional auction process into a modern, technology-driven solution.
He emphasized that this initiative provides citizens with a simple, fast, and transparent way to obtain fancy vehicle numbers. It reflects PITB’s commitment to promoting digital governance and improving public service delivery across Punjab.
Who Can Participate?
The e-auction platform facilitates online bidding for fancy numbers for:
- Motorcycles
- Motor cars
- Commercial vehicles
Participants can place bids online through the official e-auction app or web portal. Once the auction process is completed, details of the successful bidders are also made available on the platform.
